Milk glass was first made in Venice in the 16th century as a translucent competitor for porcelain, colors include blue, pink, yellow, brown, black, and white. Some 19th-century glass makers called milky white opaque glass "opal glass". The name milk glass is relatively recent.

These bubble top apothecary jars were made in Belgium.  Both have rings to seal the lid and there are no cracks; excellent condition on both.

Large is 17 cm tall including lid

Small is 12 cm tall including lid

These are very cool additions to a mantle or even the kitchen.  The jars a certainly useable if you choose or you can simply add to your milk glass collection.
